РЕАЛЬНЫЕ КАНАДСКИЕ ГЕИ ПРОТИВ РИСОВАННЫХ

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund: Canada is Anti-Manga, Anti-Art
Here's the article: cbldf.org/homepage/cbldf-looks-to-canada-custom...
I'm going to call it recommended reading for anyone who enjoys Yamane-sensei's work because it is speaking directly to readers like us.

I don't know how many people are watching the whole "let's-ban-this-manga-or-anime-because-it's-immoral" thing in both Japan and the US, but it feels to me as though things have just gotten much more serious. I'm not trying to freak anyone out, but I think we need to be more aware than ever that Japan's bans on selling certain manga (and banning others altogether) to minors goes into effect July 1st.

There is an American man in his 20's who crossed the border to Canada. Canadian customs searched his iPad, iPhone and computer, and found manga. Canadian customs immediately called it child pornography and had him arrested. He could be facing extradition as well as at least one year of time in Canadian prison, not to mention all the humiliations that go with going through the prison system.

"Comics212" says later in the article, "If you are a fan of any manga or anime, if you are a fan of comics, if you have even one comics page, anime clip, or “dirty” picture on your computer, tablet, or phone, this is about you. This is about you being pulled aside, searched, your electronics confiscated to be sent away for weeks and months, all because you’ve got scans of Naruto on your desktop. This isn’t about “child porn” or any variation thereof, this is about legally equating a description of a thing — written or drawn — with the real thing."

Это уже плюрализм мнений в одной отдельной взятой голове прогрессивной общественности, по-простому - шизофрения )))))))))))))))))))))))))
